Hypnosis is a condition of profound relaxation which you allow yourself to enter and during which time there is an altered state of conscious awareness. That may sound strange but have you ever driven the car on autopilot and reached your destination without remembering how you got there? Or been so deep in a daydream that you weren't aware someone was talking to you? Then you were probably in a different state of conscious awareness.Hypnotherapy is a way of using hypnosis in a therapeutic way to help with any issues, phobias or unwanted habits. In our conscious awareness we naturally have a critical sensor that can stop us taking on board positive suggestions and ways forward - that inner voice that says 'yes, but ...', 'what if ...' or 'I'm not sure ...'. Hypnotherapy allows us to talk directly to your subconscious mind which means the suggestions - which we will agree upfront - are more readily accepted.
The most important thing to know is that you can't be hypnotised against your will or made to do anything you don't want to. You must want, expect and let hypnosis take place and you are always in control and able to come out of hypnosis at any time.
Hypnotherapy is useful for a number of issues including;Weight issues Stopping smoking Phobias Negative thinking Anxiety Stress Sleeping difficulties
